Paul Freehling has been a Chicago commercial and employment law trial attorney for 52 years. He has been an advocate and neutral in mediation and arbitration proceedings for in excess of 25 years. He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and elected Member of the American Law Institute. In addition, he is a 50-year member and former officer of the national (Seventh Circuit Vice-President) and Chicago Chapter (all offices, including President) of the Federal Bar Association. He has served as Chair of various committees of, and has received awards from, the Illinois State Bar and Chicago Bar Associations. He is recognized as a "Distringuished Neutral" by the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention, and also has served as an arbitrator in American Arbitration Association, National Futures Association, and Chicago Mercantile Exchange proceedings. He has spoken at alternative dispute resolution programs.
